Hello Rayson,
The stack size is same on both the linux and cluster.
Here is the output...

my program worked on the linux network and 
[knuth:~] [11:12pm] -> limit
cputime         unlimited
filesize        unlimited
datasize        unlimited
stacksize       8192 kbytes
coredumpsize    0 kbytes
memoryuse       unlimited
descriptors     1024
memorylocked    unlimited
maxproc         64
openfiles       1024
-----------------------------------------------
and it didnt work on cluster, here is the following
output of cluster.
[***@cluster1 reddy]$ ulimit -a
core file size        (blocks, -c) 0
data seg size         (kbytes, -d) unlimited
file size             (blocks, -f) unlimited
