about parallel tasks exiting

Hi, everyone
 I use mpiexec,mpich,and openpbs2.3.I find when I load 8 mpi tasks
to the pbs system,when one task be killed,the others can't exit, do anyone have experience about the parallel tasks exit correctly when abnomal things happen.
